East Cape Sardine
99% of the time I fish offshore in the Florida Keys and Baja, Mexico this is the pattern that I use. As the name states it is a sardine pattern that matches them in size and color. To date I have hooked:
Tarpon - Black Fin Tuna
- Yellow Fin Tuna
- Skipjack Tuna
- Bonito
- False Albacore
- Amberjack
- Jack Crevalle
- King and Sierra Mackeral
- Rainbow Runner
- Striped Bass
- Dorado
- Striped Marlin
This fly will work on any game fish that feeds on sardines. Colors white, grey, chartreuse and olive.
